The Texas Striper Association has been hosting striper tournaments in Texas since 1990. The first name for the club was the Granbury Striper Association. Two years later in 1992, it was renamed the Texas Striper Association. The association's goal is to to bring those together with a common interest, namely catching striped bass.
Granbury, Texas is on the Brazos River which hosts three top striped bass lakes in Texas with Lake Granbury in the center, Possum Kingdom to the north and Lake Whitney to the south. This club stirred interest all over Texas, and tourna- ments trail has stretched west to Lake Spence, south to Lake Buchanan, north to Texoma, and east to Tawakoni, just to name a few.
