Lake Belton May 14, 2011 Tournament Results

The Lake Belton TSA Tournament was the fifth tournament of the 2011 season. There was a good turnout with 11 Teams Participating. Again we had local teams as well as Teams from Central and East Texas. As with the Lake Buchanan Tournament it was amazing how cool it was on the morning of the tournament, especially considering it was the middle of May! Lake Belton is an excellent Hybrid Lake and most of the teams managed to catch fish.

After the weigh-in's the TSA raffled off a set of lights from Wildcat Lighting. This light set is absolutely awesome and really assists in the catching of bait and lights up the deck of your boat WITHOUT attracting bugs. Visit their website at this link Wildcat Lighting. The TSA Lake Belton Tournament was a huge success and everyone had an outstanding time.

As with previous Lake Belton Tournaments, the competition was close. The team to beat was the winner of last years Lake Belton Tournament, Team Piggy Perch. Although Team Piggy Perch caught some good fish it was Team Sharc Bait that ruled the day by catching two "HAWGS" just a couple of hours before weigh-in. Althoug Team Sharc already had some very good fish in their boat, but managed to add an 8.06 lb hybrid and TSA President's personal best Hybrid an 8.52 pounder for a total weight of 16.58 pounds to win Team Sharc Bait 1st place and a $440.00 check. The 8.52 lb hybrid also won Team Sharc Bait the Big Fish award also and another check for $100.00. Congratulations Team Sharc Bait!

In 2nd place was Team Sea Perch who also caught some very nice Hybrids. Team Sea Perch caught a 7.60 lb Hybrid and a 7.98 lb Hybrid for a total weight of 15.58 pounds! Congratulations Team Sea Perch.

In 3rd place was Team Piggy Perch who also caught some very nice Hybrids. Team Piggy Perch caught a 6.29 lb Hybrid and a 8.02 lb Hybrid for a total weight of 14.31 pounds! Congratulations Team Piggy Perch.

Congratulations to Team Sharc Bait for first place and $440.00 in the TSA Lake Belton Tournament with a total weight of 16.58 pounds. This Team is going to be hard to catch in the 2011 TSA Tournament Trail.

Team Sea Perch wins the 2nd Place Trophy and $308.00 with a total of 15.58 pounds. Congratulations Team Sea Perch!!

Team Piggy Perch wins the 3rd Place Trophy and $132.00 with a total of 14.31 pounds. Congratulations Team Piggy Perch!!

Team Sharc Bait wins the Big Fish Pot with a 8.52 pound Hybrid. Congratulations Team Sharc Bait!!
