Tournament Pictures
The Lake Belton TSA Tournament was the fifth tournament of the 2010 season. There was a good turnout
with 12 Teams Participating. Again we had local teams as well as Teams from Central and
East Texas. It was amazing how cool it was on the morning of the tournament, especially considering it
was the middle of May! With the threat of thunderstorms and winds, the participants headed out to
catch some hybrids. Everyone caught fish...............a lot of fish..............., with some of the
teams catching 40 - 50 hybrids. Lake Belton is an outstanding Hybrid lake.
After the weigh-in's the TSA had a fish fry and everyone got to eat all that they wanted. There was
also a raffle with some great prizes. The TSA Lake Belton Tournament was a huge success and everyone
had an outstanding time.
The Big Fish prize went to Team Sharc Bait with a 7.06 pound Hybrid. TSA President Alan Cox also offered
a prize of $150.00 for the largest Sand Bass. Again the competition was fierce but Team Half Randino
managed to beat out Team Shearwater by .02 pounds or .32 ounces and took home the prize money!
With the Lake Belton and TSA bragging rights on the line, a lot of trash talking prior to the fifth tournament of the season and almost $1,000 in payouts it was going to be a good one. Several Teams were more than confident that the first place trohpy was theirs for the taking. There was only .12 pounds or 1.92 ounces between the first place and second place teams, but after all of the fish were weighed, the winner of the tournament was the 2009 TSA Team of The Year, TEAM PIGGY PERCH! Congratulations!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next Tournament, June 12, 2010 on Lake Texoma..............it is going to be a good one!
Here Are The Final Results Of The Lake Belton. Congratulations To Everyone!
