The TSA would also like to thank the city of TOW Texas for their exceptional hospitality and allowing the TSA to use their Community Center for the Captain's Meeting and the Weigh-in. The facilities were excellent and it was very nice being in the shade and having places to sit during the weigh-in.

The 4th TSA Tournament of the 2011 Season was held on April 16, 2011 on Lake Buchanan. There were 10 teams that participated in this fourth tournament of the season. The fishing on LAke Buchanan has been excellent with good fish being caught over the last few months. However a cold front had pushed it way thru and the morning of the tournament was unseasonably cold. Everyone was bundled, an odd sight this time of the year. Fortunately though the cold morning did not seem to have much of an impact on the fishing as all of the teams caught a lot of Stripers and Hybrids, albeit none of the fish caught were very big. Most fish caught were short in the 17 inch range with the largest Striper of the tournament being 5.30 pounds caught by Team Sea R.

Team Sea R took the top honor of 1st Place with a total weight of 9.42 pounds. Team Sea R also won the Big Fish pot with a 5.30 pound Striper. Winning 1st Place and Big Fish earned Team Sea R a check for $450.00. Congratulations Team Sea R!

Taking 2nd Place was Team Sea Perch with 8.94 pounds. Team Sea Perch earned a 2nd Place check for $252.00. Congratulations to Team Sea Perch. Team Sea Perch definitely knows what they are doing out there. They almost aways finish in the money whenever they fish a tournament!

Taking 3rd Place was Team Sharc Bait with a total weight of 8.16 pounds and a check for $108.00. Winning 3rd Place also helped Team Sharc Bait increase their lead in the overall 2011 TSA Tournament Trail. Congratulation to Team Sharc Bait. Another Team that is always in the running at every tournament!

The fish caught in the tournament were caught primarialy caught using live bait. Most teams were fishing shallow, 15 - 25 feet of water, with some fishing even shallower. Most of the teams were fishing at the north end of the lake fishing points and / or fishing flats. All teams caught a lot of Stripers and Hybrids with several catching 30 - 40 fish for the day. Water temperatures were in the high 60's with blue skies and temperatures ranging from the 40's in the morning to the upper 70's.

Come on out and join us for the next TSA Tournament on Lake Belton on May 14, 2011. It is going to be a good one and there will be A LOT of fish caught! Lake Belton always produces good numbers of Hybrid.

The 4th TSA Tournament of the 2011 Season had an excellent turnout and everyone had a lot of fun!!
