TO THE TEXAS STRIPER ASSOCIATION (TSA). The TSA was established 21 years ago in 1990. The TSA Tournaments are open to both TSA members and non-members. Participating is a great way to learn about Striper fishing and to meet others that can help you with all aspects of Striper fishing, from catching bait and keeping it alive to catching Stripers.

The final tournament of the 2011 Tournament Trail was held on July 16, 2011. The 2011 TSA Season was an outstanding season with 8 tournaments on 7 of the area lakes. Tournaments were held on Lake Texoma Lake Buchanan, Lake Granbury, Lake Whitney, Lake Texoma, Lake Buchanon, Lake Belton, Cedar Creek Reservior and Lake Tawakoni.

There were a total of 28 different teams that participated in the tournaments this year. Most of the tournaments averaged 12 - 15 teams. To see the results of the various tournaments click on this link. To view pictures of the tournaments click on this link.

Congratulations to Team Sharc Bait for winning the 8th and final TSA Tournament of the 2011 Season on Lake Whitney. Team Sharc Bait weighed in a total of 28.73 pounds to take 1st place and a check for $480.00. Team Sharc Bait also won the BIG FISH Pot with a 14.77 pound Striper to win another $120.00. And because their big fish was also the BIG FISH OF THE YEAR, they won another $910.00 for a total of $1,510.00. As if that was not enoughTeam Sharc Bait also won the TSA 2011 TEAM of The Year Title! For those of you who are experienced or accomplished Striper Fishermen, the TSA is a great place to meet others who share your passion for Striper fishing, learn new techniques and to share your experiences.

For those of you who are new to striper fishing, the TSA is a great place to learn how to catch stripers. All of the TSA Members are more than willing to answer any questions you might have, ranging from how and where to catch shad to what is the best fishing tackle to use for catching Stripers.

So new to Striper fishing or experience come join us in the TSA!
