Possum Kingdom Lake January 16, 2010 Tournament Results

The Possum Kingdom Lake Tournament kicked off the 2010 TSA Tournament Trail. We had an excellent showing with 15 teams with about 50 people. We had local teams as well as those from Central and East Texas. There were several new teams fishing with us at this tournament also. We sure hope they will join us again at the Lake Tawakoni tournament on February 20, 2010.

With a $1,000 first place payout on the line, the first TSA Tournament of the season on Possum Kingdom Lake was a great one! The weather was perfect for striper fishing, overcast all day, albeit a little cool and damp at times. $1,700 was paid out to the top 4 teams, and several great prizes were also raffled off at the weigh in, including some $100 gift cards from Bass Pro Shops.

The Texas Striper Association would like to thank the Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce, I Insurance Group and Fort Worth Burglar Alarm Systems for sponsoring the first tournament of the year. I want to thank each of you for coming out, fishing hard and supporting the Texas Striper Association. With your help and support, we are going to have a great year.

A $1,000.00 first place guarantee on the table made it a very exciting weekend. But at the end of the day it was Team Hook Set that took home the 1st Place Trophy and the $1,000 prize. This is the second tournament in a row that Team Hook Set has taken the 1st place trophy and the $1,000 prize money!! Congratulations to Team Hook Set.

Team Piggy Perch wins the 2nd Place Trophy and $400 with a total of 8.28 pounds. Congratulations Team Piggy Perch!!

Team Shearwater wins the 3rd Place Trophy and $200 with a total of 7.66 pounds. Congratulations Team Shearwater!!

Team Family Style wins 4th Place and $100 with a total of 6.44 pounds. Congratulations Team Family Style!!

Team Hook Set also wins the Big Fish Pot With a 4.74 Pound Striper! Congratulations Again Team Hook Set!!
