The Texas Striper Association once again would like to thank Mike Oser of
MoesTackleShop.com. Mike Oser
has been gracious enough to help sponsor the TSA and provide the trophies for the tournaments along
with gift packages of some of his lures to each of the tournament contestants.
The 2nd TSA Tournament of the 2011 Tournament Trail Season was held on
February 19, 2011 on beautiful Lake

seasons with several Stripers in the double digits.

The weather for the 2nd tournament of the season was outstanding with overcast skies
for most of the day. It was fairly cool, no wind and clear in the morning, but warmed up to the
mid 60's by mid-day with overcast skies and about 5 - 10 mph winds from the south. Depending
on the area of the lake, the water temperatures varied from 48 degrees in the main lake to 53
degrees futher up the lake towards the river.
Most if not all of the fish caught in the tournament were caught using live bait. Most of
the fish were caught around Cedron Creek and just north of Katy Bridge in the main
river channel. There were also fish caught around the State Park area close to
Whitney and Towash Creeks. The depths where the Stripers were caught varied from fairly
shallow (15 - 25 feet) to fairly deep (50 feet).
Come on out and join us for the next TSA Tournament on Lake Texoma on March 19, 2011. It is going to be a good one! Lake Texoma is an outstanding Striper lake. This lake has produced Stripers that have gone over 16 pounds in past tournaments.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next month on Lake Texoma on March 19, 2011.
Here Are The Final Results Of The Lake Whitney February 19, 2011 TSA Tournament. Congratulations To Everyone!
